By traveling with pack animals, you’ll hike each day with only a light daypack while your gear and camp essentials are carried ahead—allowing you to move freely and fully immerse yourself in the landscape.

This classic traverse follows high alpine routes and storied trails, including a dramatic crossing of 11,000 ft. Isberg Pass, the headwaters of the mighty Merced River, and a stunning ascent of Clouds Rest. You’ll hike a section of the John Muir Trail and camp beside serene alpine lakes, including a memorable night beneath Cathedral Peak.

Each day, savor thoughtfully prepared backcountry meals and comfortable, well-equipped wilderness camps-- creating space to fully absorb Yosemite’s grandeur.
