Love the Journey
Love, as the Mountains Teach It
February tends to frame love as something outward- romantic, celebratory, shared. But in the mountains, love shows up a little differently. In a culture that celebrates speed and productivity, love can be an act of slowing down, unplugging, choosing you. Here, it looks like self-care- listening to your body, your breath, and the pace you choose.
It’s love as stepping away from the daily grind to reconnect- with nature, with the rhythm of the land, and with your own wild nature. It’s found in moments of presence: moving deliberately, giving yourself permission to rest when you need it, and choosing stillness over constant motion. This kind of love doesn’t rush. It builds trust, resilience, and a deeper appreciation for the life you’re living.
This is love as being in love with life, with wild places, and with the untamed parts of yourself that feel most alive outdoors. It’s choosing to step away from the noise and into something more grounded, more real. This is love in it’s higher forms- honoring your self and what allows you to be your best.
This month, we’re reflecting on love in its deeper forms: connection with self, awareness, and the courage to listen to and honor our bodies.
