Michelle Beebe
Founder/ Wilderness / Backcountry Guide
Michelle is a seasoned naturalist, educator, and life-long adventurer whose life’s work celebrates the transformative power of wild places. With a master’s degree in Outdoor Leadership and Environmental Education, and a background in Psychology and Visual Arts, she brings both depth and heart to every journey she leads- inviting others to find their own natural rhythm, connect, and rediscover wonder in the wild. Her guiding approach is grounded in connection- between people, the land, and the present moment.
Raised among the forests and lakes of upstate New York, her early bond with nature sparked a lifelong passion for wild spaces. That passion has carried her across the globe— from the outback of Australia, to the peaks of Nepal, through California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains, and across the red rocks of the American Southwest. Blending ecological insight with emotional intelligence, Michelle cultivates journeys that inspire a renewed sense of belonging in nature.
Whether guiding sea cave kayaking adventures off the Channel Islands or wildlife treks through desert canyons, Michelle is known for crafting experiences that are both playful and profound- reminding us that the wild isn’t just out there, it’s in us too. Her care for detail, intuitive sense of wonder, and deep reverence for the natural world, all delivered with warmth, humor, and genuine joy, allows the novel environment around her guests to come to life. Every trip that is crafted by her is to the highest standards of care, connection, and adventure.
